Installing a seating area, raised planters, and steps.

The client came to us looking for some ideas on how to improve their garden. As with a number of new build properties, the garden had a steep bank at the end making a large part of the garden unusable.

We suggested turning this inconvenience into an eye catching feature of the garden by turning the space into a level seating area with raised planters and steps.

We had a big job ahead of us and started by removing the old turf. We brought in railway sleepers and aggregate to create raised planters and steps up to the new seating area. Once the steps and planters were in place we levelled the top ready to lay top quality artificial turf.

The next step was to create a framework around the edge of the top area so that we could successfully attach the artificial turf and then glued and stapled this into place. Once the new seating areas was completed we finished off the garden by using cobbles to define the existing lawn area and provide a nice tidy edge.

Once we had finished the project the client decided to paint the raised beds in a modern grey colour to match the rest of the garden.
