Installing two new paved areas with an adjoining path.

This garden hadn’t been touched for a long time. The client uses a wheelchair to get around and unfortunately their garden just wasn’t accessible. We discussed a number of options with them and their ideal was to have a nice lawn to look out on but they also needed to have paved areas to make the whole garden accessible to them.

We started by clearing the area and removing all overgrown bushes, brambles and weeds. When this was completed the garden already looked a lot bigger and much more inviting. We levelled the two patio areas and an area for a link pathway to join the patios together.

Closer to the house we installed some raised planters using railways sleepers to help our client to continue with their love of planting, and installed trellis to allow climbing plants to grow up and over. We used multiple sized sandstone paving to create a visually interesting seating area, path and patio by the house. Once this hard landscaping was installed we then brought in fresh top soil, levelled the areas, and laid new turf.

We have since been back to help out with general garden maintenance and lawn cutting.
